Attitude of gratitude

Today is Canadian Thanksgiving. I’m so very grateful for my health, and that of my families. We have no disabilities or developmental delays. And other then ADHD and post partum depression we are free from major illness. Being able bodied is something I hope I never take for granted.

I also need to take the time to say Thank you and praise God for my family. All I ever wanted was to have a husband and kids. I was amazingly able to get pregnant, carry, and give birth to four beautiful children. That’s something no amount of money could ever replace.

One more thing I must take time to be thankful for is my home. A place where we eat and sleep; the place where memories are made, tears are cried, and laughter is always just around the corner. A place where we all belong, and can find rest for weary bodies, and souls. May it be ever so. In honour of this, today I’m going to clean up my bedroom, and light a candle to make it a haven where I can relax, and process the day with all it’s memories, and goings-on.

Lord I pray that I will always remember to have an attitude of gratitude, no matter where life takes me, or what trouble may await me.

Yesterday my task was to study, which I did do without too much procrastination. So now it’s on to the bedroom to give it a hug of gratefulness.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
